| Marguerite's was established in 1970 by Margaret
& Richard Condon, parents of the present owners. Margaret's
father Michael (Ganzy) Murphy was one of the old traditional bread
bakers, trading from the early 1900's in Maiden Street, Newcastle

The business was
founded on the principles of using the finest ingredients with
products baked fresh daily. Our products are not
mass-produced, but require a high level of skill and craft to
create confectionery of such high standard. Original recipes
developed in the '70's are still used
unchanged.
Today
Marguerite's consists of a purpose built bakery supplying our
own retail outlet in Newcastle West, Abbeyfeale
and Killarney.
The Bakery supplies wholesale to retail and the catering
trade. The business includes a Coffee Shop/Restaurant in both
Newcastle
West and Killarney.
The restaurant in Killarney
trades as "Scéal Eile". |
